In a time of uncertainty and hectic everyday life, try experiencing the serenity and self-realization of ch’an meditation. Gold Buddha Monastery will host a one-week sitting meditation retreat starting on the evening of April 30 to the evening of May 6 (schedule).

During this week, everyone will observe silence.

Venerable Master Hsuan Hua:

“OM MA NI PAD ME HUM” – these six ​syllables ​together make up the Six​-Syllable Great Bright Mantra; each one individually is able to emit brilliant light. If you are able to constantly recite the Six-​Syllable ​Great Bright Mantra, there will be six paths of light changing the darkness of the six destinies into brightness.

Amitabha Buddha Recitation Session

From December 25-31 8:30am-5:00pm, Gold Buddha Monastery will host an Amitabha Buddha Recitation Session.

The dharma door of reciting the Buddha’s name will be explained in detail during lunch hour talks.

Dharma Master Heng Chih, a senior monastic from the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, will lecture on Master Ou Yi’s Key Explanation of Amitabha Sutra in the evenings from 7:30-9:00pm.
